ClassLive Pro Chat Window Font/Alignment Issue – eCollege

What is happening?

ClassLive Pro is encountering a known bug issue that causes the font size and alignment to display incorrectly in a session’s Chat window. This is caused by having Java 8 or higher installed. Currently there is no estimated time for this issue to be resolved. Users have the option to choose one of the Workaround Solutions below in order to use the web-conferencing tool.

Workaround Solutions:

1.    Downgrade the version of Java installed on your machine.  Java version 7 update 79 has proven to be effective. Please click on the following link to access a list of Java versions and to select the recommended version.

This will require admin privileges. You may need to submit a ticket to the CITE Helpdesk by calling 903.468.6000 or by emailing helpdesk at tamuc.edu<mailto:helpdesk at tamuc.edu>.


2.    Simply copy and paste the chat dialogue from the Chat window into a Word document. The formatting should automatically paste the text in an appropriate font and alignment.
Services/Applications Impacted:

·         Only fully-online courses (web-enhanced courses do not have this tool option)

·         ClassLive Pro – Pearson LearningStudio (eCollege)
