[VPAAEtal] Planning Documents and Process

University Colleagues;

 

Under the direction of Dr. Jones, the planning process at A&M-Commerce
is becoming more dynamic, flexible, and "real."  As you develop your
plans for FY 2011 (beginning fall semester 2010 and running through
summer 2011), be sure to use the attached guiding elements for your
plans, especially linking your unit administrative plan to the
President's Guiding Principles.  You should develop your own unit goals,
along with measurements/metrics for your own goals, but they should all
tie to the Guiding Principles. (Please use the updated Guiding
Principles attached).

 

Dr. Jones has also asked that all unit administrative plans for FY 2011
be entered into the WEAVEonline system that is already in use for
academic program Student Learning Outcomes.  Barbara Forbes is
administrator for WEAVEonline, and will be setting up all department
heads, directors, etc. with WEAVEonline access, if you do not already
have it.  She has also begun training sessions, and will be offering
them throughout the remainder of the spring semester - give her a call
or send her an email if you have any technical questions. If you would
like for me to brief your staff, faculty, etc. on this procedure, please
give me a call.

 

An updated Institutional Effectiveness Manual will be coming out soon
that will outline in detail both the academic assessment (student
learning outcomes) and administrative planning components.

 

University-wide metrics for these "Guiding Principles" are currently
being developed by the Strategic Leadership Team, and will be published
as soon as they are finalized.
