Hi Kurtis and everyone.


I have looked over the flyer, and everything looks great!

However, I have one suggestion.

When we were Texas A&M University-Commerce, we often advertised ourselves as "A&M-Commerce".
I believe that was a significant mistake. The acronym “A&M-Commerce” was unclear.
Only those of us affiliated with the university knew what it referred to; most people did not recognize it as a university.

I think we are making a similar mistake by using "East Texas A&M" without including “University.”

Several students have also mentioned that many people do not know what “East Texas A&M” is.

So, I strongly suggest that we use the full university name in the logos on the flyer.

The university upper admin also should consider using the full university name on road signs, especially on I-30.
Whenever people see a sign of "East Texas A&M University", they will remember that there is a university near Greenville and Sulphur Spring.

Hello everyone,

Over the weekend I put together a new department flyer; I’d appreciate if you would spend some time reading through it and making any comments.

Marketing and Communications has declared that they will no longer work on flyers, so I had to create my own template as I went along.  I based it on recent flyers for engineering programs, and I was a good Lion and used official fonts, colors, pictures, and logos (the atom is our department’s assigned logo).

After any changes, we’ll get nice quality flyers printed at Latsons.
