The Parkland BioTel Social Work Program is expanding!

After 6 years as the first (and until recently only) BioTel Social Worker I am super excited to be hiring 3 new position. I briefly broke them down below but please reach out if your interested and I can give you more details.

These are all community bases positions and require home visits.

City of Garland- Hiring an LMSW who will office at the Health Department and provide intensive medical case management, problem solving for complex social needs that drive 911 use, collaboration with community partners and city departments on how to provide complete and effective care to patients to maximize health and safety.

City of DeSoto- hiring an LMSW who will provide intensive behavioral health case management to citizens in the community who require support to obtain and maintain mental health services and treatment. This will require home visits, follow ups, psychoeducation and performing of complete biopsychosocial assessments to determine barriers to engaging in care. This position will work with the new behavioral health care team through DeSoto Police.

City of Mesquite- LCSW to provide psych assessments in active 911 calls, recommend levels of care and assist clients in gaining and maintaining mental health treatment. They will also help in homeless outreach and resource connection.
