Good Afternoon,

Some of you were interested in taking SWK 512 this fall which is the final class required for the Business Certificate but it did not make.

Well, I have some good news! We will offer SWK 512 in the 2nd 8th weeks this semester. This will start October 18th or 25th through the fall semester.

I have even better news, the class is entirely free because the university is paying for tuition and fees for this flex term. So, for those of you who wanted to take the class but decided not to due to the cost, now is your chance to take it for free.

This class is only opened to those who are interested in earning the certificate. You would need 507, 508, and 514 ( Social work and the law which used to be 597). If you are graduating you should have all these courses unless you took a different elective for 597. It will be an 8 week online course.

If you are interested in taking the this class for free to earn your Business of Social Work Certificate when you graduate in December, you will need to apply for the certificate through applytexas and pay the $50 application fee. If you already applied for the certificate for fall 2021, I will see if I can move for application over to the 2nd 8 weeks.
