[Journalism] Additional Newspaper Internship Opportunity

The Longview News-Journal, a 30,000-plus circulation newspaper, invites
A&M-Commerce journalism majors to consider a 10-week internship for
students interested in reporting, editing, photography and videography
(for its website).

 

To apply, send cover letter telling the editors "who you are and why you
think" the News-Journal "would be a good fit for your skills" (their
language), a resume, and eight (8) clips of your work. PHOTO COPIES are
what the editors want; do not send tear sheets or Internet links.

 

The publisher, Tom Stamper, is one of our graduates. The paper is one of
a number of publications in the East Texas Community Newspapers
organization.

 

Deadlines: 

August 15 for the fall  

March 15 for the summer of 2012
