[Intl-stu] Important reminders

If you travel outside the U.S. during the summer please remember to
bring a copy of your stamped documents and I-94 to the International
Student Services Office as soon as possible once you re-enter the U.S.
When a student re-enters the U.S. they are issued a new I-94 and their
passport, visa, and/or I-20 may be stamped by the port of entry. The
ISSO keeps updated copies of all of your immigration documents.

Also, to remind you international students are not allowed to work
off-campus during the summer break without permission from the ISSO
and/or USCIS. To confirm if you are authorized to work off campus
please review the last page (travel validation signature page) of your
I-20 for any employment authorization. If this page does not have any
employment authorization then you are not allowed to work off-campus. A
social security card with For Employment Authorization written on it is
not permission to work off-campus. If you are caught working off-campus
without permission then your SEVIS record will be terminated and you
will not be eligible to apply for a reinstatement to your F-1 visa
status.
