[COSEAfaculty] LeoTeach Colloquium April 10

Greetings Colleagues, 

 

Many of you know that we in the College of Education and Human Services
offer a program for future teachers in the STEM fields.  On April 10
from 4-8 PM we will be hosting our Inaugural LeoTeach Colloquium in the
Science Building Atrium, and I invite you to participate.

 

We have invited area science and mathematics teachers who have been
nominated by our LeoTeach students to attend and to bring examples of
their students' excellent work for display.  We invite you to
participate and bring a display of your students' exemplary work as
well.  There will be a cash prizes for displays and work judged to be
the best of show!

 

In brief, our afternoon/evening will unfold like this:

 

4:00        Set up displays of excellent student work

4:30        Planetarium - Behind the scenes (and judging of the
displays)

5:30        Welcome from A&M-Commerce President Jones

5:45        Networking and hors d'oeuvres

7:00        Keynote and Awards

8:00        Adjourn

 

I have attached a brief overview of the display information and the
scoring "rubric" (for lack of a better term).

 

Please let me know if you will be joining us, and if you will bring a
display.
