[CMSusers] Moving Syllabi file

Greeting CMS Editors,

We have found that some Syllabi's are being uploaded in _Common site instead of ACADEM/academics/cvSyllabi/syllabi/201520 or 201510 folder. Please take a moment to view the following pdf document listed below that is currently located in the _Common site. If you find that one of these document belongs to your department, please view the instructions below on how to move the document to the correct folder -  ACADEM/academics/cvSyllabi/syllabi/201520 or 201510.

NOTE: CITE will be updating the CV & Syllabi folder by 4pm, Friday, 12/5, so that you may verify that the files have been published and is showing up within the Schedule of Classes<http://appsprod.tamuc.edu/Schedule/Schedule.aspx> and  Faculty Curriculum Vitae<http://www.tamuc.edu/academics/cvSyllabi/cv/default.aspx> instead of waiting until the next day to verify.

For this example, I will move 20339.pdf to the correct folder.

1.       Open Cascade and select the _Common site from the pull down menu [cid:image002.png at 01D00FE3.0DD96C10]

2.       Within the _Common folder structure select the document 20339.pdf

[cid:image004.png at 01D00FE3.0DD96C10]

3.       Point to the right of the file, click on the upside arrow and select Move/Rename [cid:image005.png at 01D00FE3.0DD96C10]

4.       A dialog box will open. Click on the yellow folder by Parent Folder then click on 'Browse'

5.       A dialog box will open and this will began the process of moving the file to the correct folder.

6.       Click on the pull down arrow by _Common and select ACADEM

7.       Cascade will refresh quickly and the folder structure will change to academics as shown below. Proceed by selecting cvSyllabi > syllabi > select the term the document should be in 201510 or 201520.

8.       [cid:image021.png at 01D00FED.7E32D230] For this example, the term 201520 has been selected as shown below. Note that the pull down section is ACADEM and Current Selection indicates the path and location where the document will be moved to.

9.       Click confirm

10.   The next dialog box will show where the file is being moved to. Verify that the path is correct as shown below.

11.   Be sure to check the Unpublish Content option before clicking on the Submit button

12.   Now, click on the Submit button. If successful the green bar will appear, the pdf document and correct path will be displayed

13.   Click on the Publish button

14.   Click on the Submit button

15.   Verify that the Syllabi has been placed in the right folder.
