[VPAAEtal] Honors College: Call for Courses

Dear Colleagues,
The Honors College invites faculty to propose courses or sections for honors designation through the online portal (Proposal for Honors Designation: Credit-Bearing Experiences<https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/98d9075e7ba449d095e81cd3e2f02f09>) by the priority deadline of March 14, 2026. Proposals require department head endorsement and a commitment to offer the course in the identified semester; both face-to-face and online proposals are welcome.
In alignment with ETAMU's student-ready mission and Strategic Plan 2024-2029, honors courses are designed to engage academically talented students in challenging, high-impact learning experiences that align with the Honors Learning Objectives-Connect, Create, and Contribute. Honors courses emphasize innovative pedagogy, experiential and engaged learning, undergraduate research or creative inquiry, community engagement, career-connected experiences, and guided reflection. Faculty will also identify a corresponding NACE competency for assessment. The Honors College collaborates with departments to ensure course alignment, scheduling coordination, and strong enrollment pathways, while expanding access to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher after priority registration for current Honors Fellows and Scholars.
