MIDTERM GRADE REPORTING CHANGES
Colleagues:

We have endured a lot of change in the last week. Our students are experiencing that in their own way alongside us.

I need you to make another change regarding this particular process.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO?
1.) Each faculty member needs to report midterm grades for all courses in MyLeo.
2. Each faculty member needs to report ALL midterm grades-even the good ones-in MyLeo.
3.) The deadline has been extended to next Wednesday, March 25.
4.) If you are still in the process of catching up and getting online, report the grade as it was before spring break.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
1.) We need updated information on student progress to assess steps we need to take for outreach by student support staff.
2.) Students need to know where they stand. That way they can make informed decisions about sticking with it or dropping.
3.) The drop and withdrawal deadlines have been moved back to the end of April. This is an emergency measure for spring. This allows time for outreach and support, but it also prevents students making hasty decisions about continuing in a course.

Thanks for all that you have done already. You've approached these changes with the energy that's needed in this moment. Please take care of yourselves.

If you have questions or needs, please write me directly at Ricky.Dobbs at tamuc.edu .
