Hello Faculty,

Here are a few tips to consider when setting up and using your myLeo Online (D2L) gradebook.

1. Use the Final Calculated Grade instead of Adjusted. The "Final Calculated Grade" is the updated/current grade for the student at that time.

2. Release the "Final Calculated Grade"<http://www.tamuc.edu/facultyStaffServices/academictechnology/_documents/d2l/ReleasingCurrentGrades.pdf> so that students can view their current standing in the course. Without "releasing" the grade students would not be able to see their current grade.

3. Set your Gradebook to "Drop Ungraded items." This setting excludes ungraded items from the calculation of grades, and can be set in the gradebook configuration under "calculation options." (A corollary to this is to manually enter "0"s for student assignments that you deem are late.)

If you need assistance with your gradebook setup, please contact us at 903-886-5511 or e-mail online at tamuc.edu<mailto:online at tamuc.edu>.

Thank you,
