SUBJECT:     Sponsored Programs Compliance Training

Texas A&M University-Commerce is committed to expanding high quality research and to providing our faculty, students, and any others involved in sponsored program activities, with a supportive environment for conducting those activities in a responsible manner.  In order to meet this commitment, all individuals who are involved in any kind of externally funded, sponsored program activity must have adequate training in research compliance.  Successful completion of all training is required before work can begin on any externally funded project.



As a result, a four-course core training bundle will be assigned through TrainTraq to all individuals who are paid from an externally sponsored account.  This core package will include Time & Effort (good for two years), Responsible Conduct of Research (good for three years), Financial Conflict of Interest (good for four years), and Export Control training (good for two years).  Principal Investigators are responsible for ensuring that all individuals involved with their sponsored activities have successfully completed the required trainings before engaging in any project-related activities.



These training and compliance efforts will help us continue to meet federal, state, and local requirements, as well as uphold the highest standards of integrity in all aspects of research and scholarship conducted at the University.
