[VPAAEtal] Online & Blended Courses - Copy Instructions

Greetings Faculty, Adjunct Faculty, and Academic Department Staff.



I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather.  The Schedule of Classes for May Mini, Summers I & II, August Mini, and Fall 2016 are posted.  At this time, faculty and adjunct faculty may begin copying their courses.  It is important for this process to be completed before leaving campus for the summer.  The targeted deadline is April 18.  (Link to course copy online application: https://apps.tamuc.edu/CourseCopyApp/CourseCopy/)

There are two important reasons to complete course copies early.  First, students are added to the Pearson LearningStudio (PLS) courses 10 to 14 days prior to the first day of the term (sub terms are populated according to the main Summer or main Fall term start date).  By the time most faculty return to campus in the Fall, students have been added to courses.  Unavailable courses that were not copied receive an empty course shell in order to enroll the students into PLS.  The second reason all courses must be copied early is due to the preparation needed for priority courses.  Priority courses are identified as having a student with a visual or hearing impairment registered for the course.
