Respondus Publish to Server Error - Pearson LearningStudio (eCollege)

What is happening?

·         Pearson Technical teams have identified an issue resulting in the users not being able to publish exam content from Respondus to LearningStudio (eCollege). Image below of error:

When:

·         12/14/2015 at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Services/Applications Impacted:

·         Pearson LearningStudio (eCollege)

·         Respondus 4.0
What you need to do:

·         Contact the Center for Faculty Excellence and Innovation (CFEI) by emailing online at tamuc.edu<mailto:online at tamuc.edu> with "Respondus Issue" in the subject line and your course and CWID in the body. A CFEI staff member will contact you.

·         Pearson Technical has released a workaround. If you comfortable using trying the workaround solution please follow the steps below. If at any time you need assistance, don't hesitate to contact the CFEI.
Workaround:
In Respondus:

§  Go to the Start tab

§  On the "Open or Create" page, there is a dropdown for Current Personality- select "IMS QTI 1.1+"

§  Go to the Preview and Publish tab

§  Click on Save QTI XML File

§  For the file format, select "QTI XML zip file..."

§  Save the file
In eCollege:

§  Open the exam in Author mode

§  Click on the Exam Package Upload button

§  Select and import the file.
