[VPAAEtal] Beginning Spring 2016 - TAMUC Will Offer Blended Courses

Faculty,

The Spring 2016 term will be the first term in which Texas A&M University-Commerce will officially offer blended courses.  The addition of the blended course type means we will have three course types-fully online (W), blended (B), and enhanced/F2F (E).

Attached find the document Course Type Definitions which describes the three course types.  The Provost and College Deans have agreed to these definitions as a means of uniform communication and course coding.

The Center for Faculty Excellence & Innovation (CFEI) has professional staff members who are certified with the Online Learning Consortium in the development of effective and andragogically sound blended courses.  We are ready to assist you in the development of your blended course(s).  Information on course design workshops and tools will be shared with faculty in the near future.
