[VPAAEtal] Desegregation Book Reading and Discussion

[Academic Affairs]

Dear Campus Community:
I would like to invite you to the Writing Center Monday, Nov. 3rd, from 5-6 pm, for a special appearance by Rosalie T. Turner, who will read from her book March with Me about the May 1963 children's march in Birmingham. In her discussion, Turner will connect what was happening at TAMU-C 125 years ago, then 50 yrs. ago, with the national Civil Rights movement. Turner writes historical fiction focusing on the Civil Rights struggle and the ongoing struggle for reconciliation.

I would be honored to have you there. And please invite any friends and colleagues you think may be interested. I am attaching the flyer for you to circulate if you wish.

Thank you,
Diana Hines-Director, Writing Center
