Overview  Adults currently comprise 41% of the higher education student population and many are taking classes online. Institutions have historically retained both online and non-traditional students at very low rates. One strategy used to address this retention issue is to design more engaging online courses. Many institutions have used this strategy to encourage adult learners to be more involved in the course and academic program, leading to higher retention and completion rates.  Join us for an online training to learn new approaches to designing engaging courses for adult, online learners. Our expert instructions will give institutional examples and demonstrate proven strategies for:  -Building more relevant course assignments  -Prompting valuable peer engagement  -Developing new approaches for faculty/student interaction]
