[VPAAEtal] Faculty Senate Recommendation

Colleagues:

I am attaching the changes faculty senate made in new/proposed
tenure/promotion/ post-tenure-review procedure. Faculty senate asked me
to do so at our last meeting to acknowledge our appreciation to many
faculty, librarians, and other professional staff who attended open
hearings to discuss this procedure or sent e-mails to us in order to
give input on it. 

I do want to mention that this document showing our changes in various
colors is only a recommendation asked of us by the university
administration. I understand that it will be further reviewed by the A&M
System attorneys as well as by the Deans Council before it is finalized
and approved by President Jones. If you have any question on the
procedure or on our proposed changes, please feel free to e-mail me at 
Raghu_Singh at tamu-commerce.edu. You can also send your input to the Deans
Council through your department head if you want to. We hope we will
have a clear and effective procedure in the near future guiding us all
in our work.
