[VPAAEtal] Online Course Syllabus Model & Course Outline

Faculty,

 

Faculty members periodically ask for a syllabus model/template for use in their online courses. Attached is a syllabus model developed from components of existing syllabi representing online courses across academic disciplines. The document was shared with select faculty in a type of peer review process prior to releasing it to you via this email.  You are welcome to use this syllabus model in the development of your course syllabus.  

 

Also attached is a course outline template. You may find it helpful to place dated information in a separate document so that you only need to update your syllabus when you modify how you are teaching your online course. By including such a document, students may conveniently reference the due dates for the course. This course outline document could be added as a separate content item just below the syllabus link in the home area of your online course.
