 University Community:

 

I would like to thank the College of Arts and Sciences Executive Council
for their work in assisting us in identifying an interim dean and for
their guidance in ensuring that the College continues the momentum
established by Dean Jim Klein. 

 

I am pleased to name Dr. David Crenshaw as Interim Dean effective July
14. Also, I am pleased to name Dr. Ricky Dobbs as assistant dean. Dr.
Dobbs will focus on initiatives to increase enrollment and retention.
Dr. Dobbs will assume his duties in August. Dr. Linda Matthei will
continue as assistant dean and will focus on student issues.

 

Please join me in thanking Dean Klein for his leadership and thanking
Dr. David Crenshaw and Dr. Ricky Dobbs for agreeing to assume these key
leadership roles.
