Dear Faculty:
First, I would like to share good news. We began the Early Intervention
process last semester and because you helped us identify those students who
needed support, I am proud to report that we retained 87% of the first-time,
full-time freshmen.
Thanks to the Registrar's Office and Technology Services, we have automated
the process to make it easier for you to report those students who are
having difficulty. Please help us identify those students who you believe
need our assistance.
To access the Early Intervention Form, please access MyLeo located at:
https://leo.tamu-commerce.edu/login.aspx
<https://leo.tamu-commerce.edu/login.aspx>
and click on the Early Intervention link under MyLeo (same as the class
roster procedure). Enter as much information as possible that will assist
our Early Intervention Team (absences, grades, participation, etc.). Then,
please check the box to submit this information to the database.
We ask that you submit the Early Intervention Report by Monday, February 18,
2008 so that we can begin providing support immediately.
I would like to thank all of you who assisted us in the fall in achieving
this unprecedented fall-to-spring retention rate. If we are to achieve our
Fall 2008 enrollment goal, it is critical that we retain as many students as
possible.
