Faculty,

Please read the following information regarding the copying of online
courses for the Spring 2008 term:

Beginning Monday of next week (December 3-7), we will copy online courses
(those with sections 01W, 02W.) for the Spring 2008 term as listed in the
online course schedule on the University web page. It is important that you
do not make modifications in your existing courses during that 'black out'
week, or you will need to make modifications in the existing course and the
new course(s) copied for the Spring 2008 term. If you previously requested
that we copy your online course for the Spring 2008 term, this 'black out'
period will not affect you.

Spring 2008 term courses will be copied from the most recent copy of the
course last taught by the professor assigned the course for the new term.
(For example, a course for the Spring 2008 term will be copied from that
professor's course for the Fall 2007 term.)

If the assigned professor has not taught the course previously, the new
course will be created by copying the eCollege 15-week course template. If
you plan to use the material of another instructor, please reference the
section "Borrowing Content from Another Professor," found in the eCollege
procedure document at www.tamu-commerce.edu/itde
<http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/itde> .

Courses listed on the TAMU-C online schedule with the instructor listed as
'staff' are not copied until an instructor has been officially assigned to
the course. If you've been assigned to an online course, but your name is
not listed with the course in the online schedule, please contact your
department requesting that they add you as the instructor.

If you are ready for your Spring 2008 course to be copied now, complete the
course copy request form found at ( <http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/itde>
www.tamu-commerce.edu/itde) and we'll be happy to complete the copy upon
receipt of the course copy request.

Let us know if you have any questions or if we may be of assistance.
