[Vpaaetal] Final Reminder: Open Hearing

FACULTY SENATE OPEN HEARING

TODAY at 2:00 PM

 

One of the top priorities of our faculty senate this year is to address the
issue of credibility of the process of evaluation of teaching.  We plan to
critically discuss procedures used for evaluating teaching in our
university.  The Academic Life Committee of the senate will hold an open
hearing on that topic on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM in STC (new
science building), Room 127.  We expect that the hearing will not go over 60
to 90 minutes.

 

You are invited to attend that hearing and allow us to take note of your
ideas relevant to the evaluation of teaching and ways to improve it.  We are
hoping to develop a revised procedure for teaching evaluation by the end of
this semester.  I hope you can join our discussion.
