Good morning,

A new procedure has been established for online students dropping courses.
**PLEASE note - this is for online student drops only. (Dropping all BUT
the last class) - If dropping all courses, a withdrawal must be completed.

An e-mail was sent to all online students and all faculty teaching online
courses - see e-mails below.

Instructor approval is significant in this matter to insure that they are
aware that the student has dropped and for auditing purposes. However, with
online students, they are not always able to obtain the signature in a
timely/easy manner. These steps should improve the process for everyone
involved.

E-Mail sent to online Students:

Procedure for dropping an online course:

If you are considering dropping an online course please e-mail your
instructor stating that you desire to drop the course. The instructor will
reply back to you via e-mail with an acceptance of your drop and forward
your request to the Office of the Registrar. The Office of the Registrar
will process the drop. You may check the status of your drop through MyLeo.
Dropping a course may affect your financial aid
(http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/financial-aid/

withdrawal from the university - if you are dropping ALL of your courses, a
withdrawal must be completed. The form may be found at:
