Faculty,
eCollege Online Course Shells Created for Faculty Teaching the Course for
the First Time
eCollege course shells have been created for online courses to be taught by
a faculty member for the first time in the Spring 07 or Winter-Mini 07
term(s) . These shells were created from a blank, 15-week template given
that the faculty member has not taught the course(s) in eCollege in a
previous semester. If you are scheduled to teach one of these courses, you
should see your new course(s) when you login to eCollege. You may begin
developing the course(s) for the upcoming term at any time.
Winter Mini 07 and Spring 07 Course Shells to be Copied from Fall 2006 Term
Course shells for the Winter Mini 07 and Spring 07 terms, which are
currently being taught during the Fall 2006 term, will be copied for the new
term toward the end of the Fall 2006 semester. Waiting to copy the course
shells at the end of the semester will ensure that all of the modifications
made during the remainder of the semester are included when the course is
copied.
If you know that you will not make additional modifications to your Fall
2006 course and would like it to be copied for the Spring 2007 term now,
email online at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:online at tamu-commerce.edu> and we'll
complete the copy for you now.
Web-Enhancing a Winter Mini or Spring 07 Course
If you plan to web-enhance a Winter Mini 07 or Spring 07 course, email
online at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:online at tamu-commerce.edu> to request that
a course shell be created for you. Include the following pieces of
information in your email: Course code and section number, course title,
term in which the course will be offered (Winter Mini or Spring 07), and CRN
number. If you're request includes the copying of an existing eCollege
course, let us know the term in which you previously taught the course.
