FEBRUARY 3 DEADLINE

 

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT and INTERNATIONAL STUDIES GRANTS

 

The deadline for the Faculty Development and International Studies grants is
February 3. Please turn in your applications to Cynthia Rhodes in BA 280 and
notice that there are a few changes on the grants/applications page of the

We have collapsed the faculty development grant and competitive travel
grants into one pool. This will cut down on the number of duplicate
applications - faculty may only submit ONE application and may only be
awarded ONE grant per academic year for the amount of $500 or less. If you
received a grant fall 2005, you are ineligible for spring 2006. 

 

The actual Faculty Development Grant application has a few modifications on
it:

1) Dropdown menus for rank & tenure status. 

2) Cut & paste vitae boxes. Rather than turning in a 20+ page vitae, we are
requesting that you cut & paste selected publications, presentations and
other relevant information related to your request for funding. The boxes
will expand to the amount of information you paste within them, but we are
asking you to be brief!

 

Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. There is a checklist
BA 280 to ensure you have the following required documentation: 

 

1) Faculty Development Grant Application Form - signed by applicant and
applicant's Department Head

2) Cover letter that clearly explains the significance of the proposed
activity for the applicant's professional development

3) Documentation/evidence of applicant's role (for example, a formal
acceptance letter; the relevant page of conference program).
