RE:                   Extension of Search for Assistant Dean of Graduate
Studies & Research
 
 
The search for an Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies & Research was
announced during the Fall 2004 semester.  The projected start date has been
extended to May 15, 2005, but an earlier start date is possible.  I
encourage faculty members to submit their applications or nominations as
soon as possible.  
 
An innovative and dynamic individual with extensive experience in graduate
education, a deep understanding of issues facing higher education, and
excellent interpersonal skills is sought for the position.  This individual
must have current knowledge of graduate programs, trends in graduate
education, and university procedures.  Candidates must have the ability to
interpret and apply policies fairly and consistently and be an effective
communicator.  Candidates must have an earned Doctoral degree and hold a
tenured faculty appointment at A&M-Commerce.  You can find the complete
