Students, Faculty, and Staff:

The Student Government Association, Breakout Entertainment, and the NAACP
are bringing to you one the biggest events on campus this year and it's all
happening next week.

"Rock The Vote" is a nationwide voter information and registration campaign
geared toward getting college students and people in general to get
registered, get informed, and make a difference by voting in elections.
This is exactly what we want you to do!

On Monday, September 27th until Friday, October 1st there will be a voter
registration drive that will take place in the circle at the East Lawn from
11:00am until 4:00pm to get you registered to vote. We will also be giving
out t-shirts to the first 75 people each day that register to vote. (***Make
sure you bring a government issued ID card of some sort so that you can
register. It is important that you register during this time, or at least
this week, as the deadline to register to vote in Texas is Monday, October
4, 2004).

On Tuesday, September 28th, stop by the bookstore lobby in the Memorial
Student Center from 10:00am until 2:00pm where you can come by with your
friends or by yourself and get a personalized photo postcard made using
green screen technology.

On Wednesday, September 29th join us at 8:00pm sharp in the circle at the
East Lawn to watch the movie "Primary Colors", a political satire comedy.
Make sure you bring a blanket and we'll provide the popcorn and drinks!

On Thursday, September 30th Breakout is bringing singer/songwriter Bari
Koral to perform live at the Lion's Lair from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. You can also
register to vote before and after this event.

Finally, on Friday, October 1st is the big event...from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at
the Morris Rec Center, SGA and Breakout will have a DJ to play music while
you eat at the "Cookout" and enter into the raffle for your chance to win
prizes for registering to vote throughout the week. If you are already
registered to vote, bring proof that you are registered to the cookout to
enter for your chance to win in the raffle.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, GET REGISTERED, GET INFORMED, AND ROCK THE VOTE!!!
