[Vpaaetal] Meeting of the System Employee Benefits Advisory Committee

The System Employee Benefits Advisory Committee (SEBAC) will meet on
Wednesday, September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The meeting will be
held via TTVN, and the local meeting room is Instruction Technology &
Distance Education room 222H, which is in the ITDE office complex.  All
faculty and staff are invited for all or any part of the meeting.  There is
time scheduled for questions or comments from visitors at 1:00.

The agenda includes:

(Morning)
Election of officers, approval of minutes, etc.
Potential agenda items for FY05
Review of A&M Care FY05 Profit & Loss Statements
Update on potential ERS benefits merger

(Afternoon)
Summary of annual enrollment
Self-insured plan disease management update

The update on our potential merger with ERS is likely to be of interest to
many of you.  My guess is we will reach this agenda item around
10:30-11:00, but that's only a guess.  ERS completed its study on August
31.  The merger decision will be made at the highest levels of the TAMU
system and must be made by the end of October.

I have received a 29-page packet of material for the meeting (nothing on
the merger).  If you would like copies of some of the material, please let
me know.
