The Dean of Graduate Studies and Research seeks nominations and applications
for the position of Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies and Research.  This
is a 12-month position that is 50% appointment in the Graduate School with
the remainder of the appointment residing in the academic department.  An
innovative and dynamic individual with extensive experience in graduate
education, a deep understanding of issues facing higher education, and
excellent interpersonal skills is sought for the position. This individual
must have current knowledge of graduate programs, trends in graduate
education, and university procedures.  Candidates must have the ability to
interpret and apply policies fairly and consistently and be an effective
communicator.  Candidates must have an earned Doctoral degree and hold a
tenured faculty appointment at A&M-Commerce.

Headley, Dean of Graduate Studies and Research.  Candidates for Assistant
Dean of Graduate Studies and Research should send a letter relating their
experience to position requirements, a complete vita, and full contact
information for five professional references.  Review of applications begins
November 15, 2004, and continues until the position is filled. The projected
start date is January 1, 2005.
