This is to advise you about searches that are underway for administrative
positions in Academic and Student Affairs. 
Over the past few weeks, I have appointed the following search committees:

Each of these committees will have a similar charge and will be asked to
conduct confidential searches until we can bring finalists to campus:
*	to solicit a sizeable and inclusive pool of candidates who meet the
position criteria, 
*	to identify a limited number of qualified candidates for the
position, 
*	to screen them, pursue reference checks, and select a short list of
candidates whom you will recommend to the Provost, 
*	to invite the approved candidates for campus interviews, 
*	to manage the campus interview process and collect input from
constituents, and 
*	to recommend an unranked list of at least three individuals whom you
would consider qualified and suited to lead the Office over the next five to
ten years.
