<BR><FONT FACE="Arial">Each of these committees will have a similar charge and will be asked to conduct confidential searches until we can bring finalists to campus:</FONT></P>

<UL><LI><FONT FACE="Arial">to solicit a sizeable and inclusive pool of candidates who meet the position criteria, </FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">to identify a limited number of qualified candidates for the position, </FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">to screen them, pursue reference checks, and select a short list of candidates whom you will recommend to the Provost, </FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">to invite the approved candidates for campus interviews, </FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">to manage the campus interview process and collect input from constituents, and </FONT></LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">to recommend an unranked list of at least three individuals whom you would consider qualified and suited to lead the Office over the next five to ten years. </FONT></LI>
