On October 15-16 the A&M System is sponsoring the SECOND ANNUAL PATHWAYS
SYMPOISIUM at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi - on the shores of the
Gulf of Mexico. The conference is for undergraduate and graduate students
from the A&M System campuses to present research they are conducting or have
completed. Last year more than 120 students from across the state presented
poster sessions and 18 of the presenters were from A&M-Commerce.

Please visit the 2nd Annual Pathways Symposium website,
http://falcon.tamucc.edu/~gradweb/symposium/home.htm explore the various
links, and consider submitting an abstract (one page proposal). You will
also want to consult with one of your professors about the proposal. The
deadline for submitting your proposal is September 15th but you can submit
anytime between now and then.

Last year the University provided transportation and funding for the hotel.
We are working on the funding issues now and hope to have more information
later.

We look forward to a good representation from our campus and hope you will
be one who travels with us to Corpus. If you have questions about this
conference, please contact your faculty advisor for assistance. You are also
welcome to contact me at Elton_Stetson at TAMU-Commerce.edu. I have a couple
photos of last year's conference if you want to see some of the poster
sessions.
