The Faculty Development Committee welcomes suggestions for panel discussions
drawing on the interests, expertise, and creativity of A&M--Commerce
faculty. I am currently seeking panelists for a symposium on "Teaching
September 11." How has 9/11 impacted what you do in the classroom? Did it
cause you to rethink what you teach, how you teach it, what you think
students want or need? I would like to assemble a group of 4-6 faculty from
a range of disciplines who would be willing to make a brief (5-10 minute)
presentation about their classroom experiences in the immediate aftermath of
9/11, or the way that 9/11 has shaped their ideas about curriculum content
or teaching strategies over the past few years.

Depending on schedule compatibility, I would like to hold this event on
September 9. If you are interested in being on the "Teaching September 11"
panel, please e-mail me a brief synopsis of the themes you would like to
cover and any schedule constraints on 9/9/2004, at

Isaac_Land at tamu-commerce.edu

Your interest is appreciated!
