[Tx-speed] TREx Acknowledgements

[Sean Cargo]

Texas SPEEDE users:

At TACRAO 2013, I provided the update on SPEEDE / TREx. I was asked to
provide some information about TREx acknowledgements.

As you know, TREx is the high school transcript system developed by the TEA.
This system requires institutions to acknowledge the transcripts.

If an acknowledgement is not received for a transcript, then, in the TREx
system, the transcript is marked with a bad status.

I have analyzed the Sender and Receiver reports for the months of August,
September, and October 2013.

According to these reports, there are 23 institutions that have received
transcripts from TREx but did not acknowledge them.

The top offenders are listed below. For the complete list, please see the
attached document.

Mary Hardin Baylor 898 unacknowledged HS transcripts

St Edwards University 288 unacknowledged HS transcripts

Northwest Vista College 167 unacknowledged HS transcripts

Northeast Lakeview College 156 unacknowledged HS transcripts

Texas Lutheran University 154 unacknowledged HS transcripts

Coastal Bend College 127 unacknowledged HS transcripts

If you represent one of the institutions on this list, please bring this
issue to the attention of your IT office so that it can be corrected.

This is an important issue for all institutions that use TREx. If we want
high schools across the state to adopt TREx and have confidence that it
works,

then all institutions need to acknowledge the TREx transcripts.

Sincerely,

Sean Cargo
