[Tx-speed] no grade qualifier

I don't think we have any of those, but if we did our system currently would put 517 (grade scale unknown) in crs05, and leave crs06 blank.

I do remember once we had a student coded incorrectly with a blank grade (and I believe some other mistakes) and as you stated, it caused someone a headache.

SPEEDE List Serve partners:
We have some courses that have accompanying labs that have no grade and no credit hours, but still appear on our official transcript since the student is enrolled in the lab. We are revising our SPEEDE coding to better report the Academic Grade Qualifier (CRS05 1148) for these labs, and I was looking to see if any of you have similar courses and how you decided to code the grade qualifier. Currently we use the standard code of 25 and then leave the grade blank, but this has caused problems with a couple of institutions we have tested with.
The only code I can find that might apply to these ungraded, no credit hour courses is 512 (exempted course), though these labs really aren't "exempted" per se. I really can't use 501 because the lab isn't even technically a pass/fail course. Anyone with similar courses code the grade qualifier anything other than this?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Bobby - I think having CRS03 = 0 (value of the course), and CRS04 = 0
(credits earned) should be the most important thing. The CRS05 grade
qualifier is required if and only if the CRS06 grade is sent. Both may
be blank in this case.

Some schools, including my own N=2, delete the zero hour labs prior to
the start of the grading process.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Bobby,

What Dave Stones says sounds good to me. If you want to leave CRS05 and CRS06 blank, that should not be a problem.

Thanks,
Donna
