If you are receiving Speede transcripts and importing data from them
into your systems..........(all others can now press Delete)......

As we know, there are sometimes a myriad of ways to transmit the same
thing, so all coding to convey information is not identical. Having
said that, some things are required. For example....if you put data in
a date field, the field preceeding the date holds a qualifier that
identifies the format of the date data (ie, yyyymmdd or mmddyy, etc).
So, if you have one field, it is required that you have the other. To
have only one of the pair is an error in Speede coding. This applied to
lots of fields such as school codes, grade symbols, etc.
If you receive a transcript with some kind of data error, what do you
do?
    1) Edit the electronic data and continue with importing it into your
system?
    2) Upload the error and fix it in your records system?
    3) Contact the sender, fuss alot and require they send you a good
one, but don't under any circumstances edit or upload an error?
    4) Other choices.....please explain.

Thanks for your help.
