[TACRAO] Listserv Degree Name Change

My thoughts...

If changing from Bachelor of Arts in Government to Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, maybe.

If changing from Bachelor of Arts Criminal Justice to a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, probably not. Unless the formal approval process to change/add the new of degree was earlier than the certification/print date and there was just a timing issue with the update of system codes.

Your Provost/Chief Academic Officer can approve if they want but just make sure you provide a recommendation (in writing) one way or the other.

Hope this helps.

One of our colleges wishes to change the name of a degree that they issue, and they wanted to know if they could retroactively offer this changed name to students who have already graduated from the program. Is this something that you would allow? In this case, the coursework is the same.

Thank you,
