Hi Everyone,

I'm needing some information on how your institution handles "College Preparatory" math classes. What is your practice when handling these classes from a high school?

1. Do you accept these courses as TSI completing the student for college level classes? Yes, as part of our House Bill 5 MOU Agreement And, if you do, what documentation do you require to give them the completion status? A special character is assigned to the course and notated on the high school transcript (example $ may be next to the course)
2. If a high school has a MOU with a college to award TSI completion, but did not attend that college, do you honor the MOU (TSI) agreement? For clarification, if the high school has a MOU agreement with another college for TSI and that college has transcribed the status, we will honor it. If the other college didn’t transcript it because the student never attended with them, then there is nothing to honor from the other college.
3. Do you only accept the "College Preparatory" class as completion of the high school requirements and nothing more? Not sure I understand this question…but it would make the student college level met in Math but we would not consider it as college credit.
4. Do you still require the student to TSI test and place them in classes according to the testing scores? No, according to House Bill 5 that course makes them college ready
4. Other (please explain)

Thank you.
