Good Morning,

I have a few commencement ceremony questions for community colleges:

1.       Average number of graduates that participate?  Per ceremony 300-700+ per ceremony / over 2500 in the Spring and over 1000 in the Fall

2.       Do you have graduates come across the stage in alphabetical order? Yes

3.       Do you separate associate degrees and certificates in your seating chart and commencement program? Yes

4.       Do you specially identify highest honor graduates? Graduates with 3.5 or higher are given a Gold cord

5.       Do you have a special presentation during the ceremony? No

6.       How many staff do you utilize in the Registrar's office to prepare and execute the ceremony? we have a committee of about 20 members but my Core team (4) deal with all the preparations, specs/logistics

7.       If you have 2 ceremonies: we have 5 in the spring and 2 in the fall

                                                               i.      How do you separate graduates? This year we had 2 ceremonies for dual credit graduates; 1 liberal arts/social sciences; 1 Bachelor program and Business & Tech; our last ceremony Math Science and Allied Health

                                                             ii.      How far apart are they timewise?  Approx. 2 hours between ceremonies to allow for restocking/set-up and do it all over again.  So our first one was at 10am we guesstimate 2 hrs long (ending around noon-ish) and 2pm for second ceremony
