Degree Audit Coordinator
This position is responsible for the coordination for all processes for DegreeWorks scribing and the coordination of processes relating to such. Responsible for knowledge and interpretation of undergraduate and graduate degree requirements as stated in multiple university catalogs, as well as University policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for overseeing and maintaining all degree plans and related information in the University degree audit system, DegreeWorks.

Responsibilities:

  *   Oversee and maintain compliance within DegreeWorks degree audit system. Collaborate with directors in Athletics, Veterans Affairs, and Financial Aid to ensure compliance within degree audits.
  *   Oversee Degree Audit Specialists to ensure compliance and adherence to university, state, and SACS compliance with all degree plans in DegreeWorks.
  *   Collaborate with the Academic Colleges and IT for the continuing implementation and optimization of the Degree Works audit system and upcoming upgrades to the DW system.
  *   Work collaboratively with the Academic Colleges to scribe academic and technical requirements into DW using the scribe tools and coding languages.
  *   Responsible for degree evaluation and planning system (Degree\Works) ensuring accuracy of programs and scribing.
  *   Communicate with Academic Colleges to ensure all changes are incorporated into the degree evaluation system each academic year with regard to new courses and programs ensuring that all updates have been incorporated into DegreeWorks.
  *   Make updates to Banner database for curriculum changes and updates.
  *   Prepare training manuals and tutorials for students, advisors, faculty, and staff as appropriate. Conduct training sessions and acts as first line of contact for support questions from faculty and staff.
  *   Analyze and troubleshoot system problems concerning degree audits. Review current processes, evaluate and implement changes for improvement.
  *   Create and maintain reports from Banner and Degree Works using Banner and Argos reporting tool to ensure the accurate, efficient, and effective operation of DW.
  *   Run degree audits and tests upgrades in coordination with IT.
  *   Contact Ellucian support center with issues and performs corrective actions.
  *   Responsible for ensuring service excellence to all University stakeholders and requires detailed knowledge and familiarity of all university policies and procedures.
  *   Serve on various university committees. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  *   Bachelor's degree.
  *   Four (4) years of related experience in higher education or related field.
  *   Additional education/experience may be used as a substitution.
  *   Experience working with Banner (Student Information System)
  *   Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  *   Strong verbal, planning, and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  *   Ability to work under deadlines.
  *   Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others including faculty and administrative staff.
