The Registrar's Office provides support services to faculty, staff, students and other constituents in the areas of academic programs and degree requirements, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, graduation, athletic eligibility and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.

Job Description

The Registrar's Office at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Degree Audit Specialist to join our team. The Degree Audit Specialist is part of a team responsible for daily management of UNT's degree audit application, u.achieve. The Degree Audit Specialist performs their daily tasks under the supervision of the Degree Audit Coordinator.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* This position will have shared responsibility for degree audit maintenance (updates, problem solving, and customer services) for all of undergraduate schools and colleges.
* This position will work with academic advisors in the undergraduate schools and colleges to: ensure the audit reflects the fundamentals of student academic degree programs and the curriculum and academic policy processes at UNT.
* This position will work with the Degree Audit Systems Coordinator and Degree Audit Systems Manager to: maintain and expand the transfer guides as stored on the UNT website; develop and expand the roadmaps for the u.direct application (a function of the u.achieve suite); and, assist with system upgrades and new projects associated with u.achieve.
* This position will provide technical assistance to the Registrar-Records staff regarding student records problems relating to u.achieve and EIS.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in related field and two years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department
* Basic knowledge of principles of computing and communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environment
* Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware
* Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Prior experience with degree audit systems and software;
* Understanding/awareness of computer systems and networks;
* Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with a detail oriented mindset;
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
