Tarleton State University, a member of the Texas A&M University System, seeks a dynamic and progressive leader for the position of Registrar to join our community. The main campus is located in Stephenville, Texas, 60 miles southwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Tarleton serves a stably growing student population of nearly 12,000 students at locations in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Midlothian and online.  

This position offers an outstanding career opportunity for a self-directed, innovative and strategic higher education professional. The Registrar reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Enrollment Management reports to the Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, and includes the offices of Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions, Scholarships, Financial Aid, School Relations and the Welcome Center. Enrollment Management staff are primarily located in a one stop shop setting called Texan Services. 

Key responsibilities include: strategically managing course and classroom scheduling; maintaining integrity and confidentiality of student records in accordance with FERPA; supervising registration; overseeing student record keeping; issuing transcripts; clearing graduates for degree conferral; and reporting data related to these functions to the state. In conjunction with Information Resources, the Registrar safeguards academic information, maintains data integrity and security, ensures information flow, and continually develops process enhancements. 

As an effective manager, the Registrar will hire, train, supervise and evaluate the professional staff of the Office of the Registrar. The successful candidate should have a high level of computer literacy as well as strong collaborative skills. 
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- 3 or more years of supervisory/managerial experience
- 3 or more years of professional level experience in Registrar's office operations
- Hands on knowledge/experience with student information management systems and operations
- Knowledge of state and federal reporting requirements
