Hello,

My name is Morgan Ervin and I am a Hiring Specialist with the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS).  The hiring team is putting together a Recruitment Open House for students interested in the social service/criminal justice field. This would provide students an opportunity to meet actual DFPS employees and DFPS hiring staff who would be able to answer questions they may have regarding our positions and the hiring process.   We can walk them through the entire application process.

The Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The Open House will have two sessions one covering Child Protective Services from 10 am - 12 pm and one covering Adult Protective Services, Child Care Licensing, and Residential Child Care Licensing from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

The location will be:
Department of Family and Protective Services
First Floor Conference Room NW06
8700 N. Stemmons Freeway
Dallas, TX 75247

If you are able, please provide this information to your students as well as other related Department heads, such as Criminal Justice, to share with their students.  I have also attached a flyer that can be posted regarding the event.  Please limit the Open House to students who have a strong interest in working in the social services field and who are set to graduate in May of 2018.

We are interested in students who are currently pursuing degrees in the following areas: Child Development, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Family Studies and additional people related degrees.  Feel free to forward this email to other department heads for distribution.

We can only accommodate 30 student in each session so we are asking that they reserve their spot in advance. They must have a reserved spot to attend. Attached is the flyer with all the information regarding the event.
