For the past several months we have focused our attention on developing a
coherent and uniform visual identity that represents the strength of the
university's tradition and its aspirations to be known as an innovative
institution of higher education committed to excellence.
We have conducted in-depth research on what other universities across the
country are doing regarding their visual identity programs. And, after
months of consultation with our own students, faculty, staff, and alumni, we
have developed a dynamic visual identity program.
Our aim has been consistency in visual imagery that best reflects the
university's dignified status and commitment to the future.
To that end we have developed a new identity that will incorporate a
university wordmark, or logo, to be used in all of the university's print
and electronic communications. It will be used in conjunction with a new
spirit logo that has been developed for use with student activities,
athletics, signage and branding efforts.
We'd like your opinion on which wordmark you prefer and the survey can be
found at <http://breeze.tamu-commerce.edu/p76555137>

Please select your preference and submit by the end of business this Friday,
June 15, 2007. In order to view the survey you will need Adobe Flash Player

Player.
Once the results have been tabulated the president will issue a letter
announcing the new wordmark and spirit logo and my department will provide a
graphics manual in hardcopy and electronic form that will outline the
standards for use.
We appreciate your involvement.

Director Marketing Communications
