[Stuorg-adv] Student Organization Handbook changes

Good morning,
There have been two changes made to the Student Organization handbook relating to advisors.

The first change allows for religious organizations to have an additional advisor who may be a member of the clergy or youth ministry to advise the student organization. It has previously been a practice to include religious leaders as an advisor for respective religious organizations but never written into the handbook.

The second change was an addition that an interim advisor may be appointed by an organization if there is a conflict, issue, or problem that arises, causing the advisor to be removed by the organization during the year. The interim advisor can serve temporarily until a new advisor is found, or if they meet the faculty/staff qualifications, can continue to serve as the organization advisor. If the interim advisor does not meet the faculty/staff qualifications, they can still serve as a secondary advisor alongside an additional faculty/staff advisor.
