Fall 2024 16 week Classes
Drop - The process in which a student 'drops' one or more classes, while staying enrolled in at least one other class.
* Students have the option to Drop classes via myLEO, if they do not have any active registration holds.
o Login to myLEO > select the Student Resources tab > select Registration Menu > select Register for Classes > choose the current Term > under 'Action' column, select the drop down arrow, next to the course you want to Drop and choose 'Course Drop' > select the Submit button
* Students can also submit a Request for Drop form by visiting: https://dms.tamuc.edu/Forms/DropAddForm
* 100% refund was available for Drops until Census Day (12th class day for Spring/Fall semesters; 4th class day for Summer semesters). After Census Day, a refund of changes is not available for Drops.
* Dropping a class, or classes, after 12th class day (9/11/2024), will result in the grade of 'Q' on your transcript. The 'Q' grade does NOT affect your GPA, however, it will count towards Undergraduate State Drop Limit (6 drops). NO refund of charges is available after 12th class day.The last day to Drop, with NO refund, is October 31,2024. More information regarding the effects of a Drop can be located at: Drop Information<https://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/generalInformation/dropAdd.aspx>.
Withdrawal - The process in which a student 'drops' all of their classes, their last class, or their only class for the semester.
* September 23,2024 is the LAST DAY to WITHDRAW (Drop ALL or your last/only Fall 2024 class) with a partial refund of charges. The last day to withdraw, with NO refund, is November 22,2024. In order to drop ALL or your LAST/ONLY class, you MUST complete a Withdrawal form and submit to the Registrar's Office.
* Students are required to submit a Withdrawal form in order to withdraw from the semester. The form can be located at: https://dms.tamuc.edu/Forms/withdrawalform
* Beginning 1st class day, 100% refund of charges is not available for semester Withdrawals; only partial refund. Partial refunds are available in graduated percentages (80%, 70%, 50%, 25%, 0%) for a certain period of time. Withdrawals are processed using the last date of class participation that the student provides on the Withdrawal form. This date determines if the student is eligible for partial refund of charges or not. Students are still responsible for all remaining charges, even if they withdraw from the semester.
Below are the Drop and Withdrawal deadlines for the 16 week Fall 2024 semester:
