[Students] Reminder: 18-19 Financial Aid Year

[A&M-Commerce Students]

We just started the 17-18 academic year and continue processing financial aid applications and other associated processes with the 17-18 financial aid application year.
But for the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships the 18-19 year is right around the corner.

Applying for financial aid for 18-19 academic year?

The Department of Education will have the 18-19 FAFSA (Free Applicant For Federal Student Aid) on line on October 1, 2017.
Students who are U.S. citizens, Permanent Residents of the U.S. or other Eligible Non-citizens complete the FAFSA

The Department of Education indicates the IRS Data Retrieval System feature should be back on line for the 18-19 FAFSA.

The TX Higher Education Coordinating Board should have the 18-19 TASFA (Texas Application for Student Financial Aid) available on October 1, 2017.
The TASFA application is for students who cannot apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA.

Both applications will use  income for the 2016 calendar year; January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016.

Mark your calendars as a reminder that the 18-19 FAFSA/1819 TASFA is available starting October 1, 2017!
