[Students] Higher One account holders can now use Allpoint ATMs free of charge

Just a reminder that effective today, May 4, students who have checking accounts at Higher One will have free access to Allpoint ATMs.  Allpoint has more than 50,000 ATMs nationwide including 3 locations in Commerce:  CVS Pharmacy, Brookshires Grocery and Texas T One Stop.

Allpoint ATMs are located in many retail locations across North Texas including CVS, Walgreens, 7-11, Target, Kroger, and many other grocery stores and convenience stores.   Please use the Allpoint ATM locator at http://www.allpointnetwork.com/locator.aspx to find Allpoint locations in our area.

The Higher One ATM in the Library will be unavailable effective May 4 but should be back online in a couple of weeks after it can reprogrammed to link to the Allpoint network.

Higher One account holders will also see several significant changes to their account including:

1.       Elimination of the PIN fee for debt card purchases or cash-back transactions

2.       Elimination of the teller withdrawal fee so that students can make withdrawals at the teller window of any bank without a fee from Higher One

3.       Free checks will be provided upon request to Higher One accountholders

Students who opted to receive their refunds by check in the mail or through ACH transfer to an outside bank will continue to receive those services free of any charge from Higher One.
